Come for a Walking Break in Dumfries & Galloway where you will find some exhilarating walks. Stroll along the beaches or head up through the many Woodland Paths such as the 'Doach' only a 5 minute drive away and follow that with a more energetic climb up the neighbouring 'Screel' overlooking Balcary Bay and the Cumbrian coast beyond.  Treat yourself to the solitude of one of the many coastal paths or along some of the finest sandy beaches. With miles of forest roads and trails keep a look out for deer, otters, buzzards or even visit the Red Kite centre near New Galloway. Why not walk part of The Southern Upland Way, Britain's first coast to coast footpath or head for Merrick where you can gaze down on the beauty of Glentrool and views up across Ailsa Craig to Ireland.
